Umbrella Prints Trimmings No2

My second trimmings packet.

I decided to team with some gorgeous natural linen and my first attempt at a circle of geese block. Which I decided to turn into a cushion, just for me.

I let the trimmings geese and linen speak for themselves and quilted it simply between the geese and added a freehand spiral into the centre. I am thrilled with the result.

Umbrella Prints Trimmings No 1

Its that time of year again - Umbrella Prints Trimming competition time. I love the challenge of coming up with a creative use of these little packets of delish scraps.

I was super excited to pick up my packets in the mail and squeed with delight to find a golden ticket in one of my packets. I was already a winner - of a mega packet of gorgeous rainbow scraps. Thanks Umbrella Prints!

Which I turned into a portable game board for Master 3.

Tic Tac Toe board and a memory game in a travel case. Trimmings were put together with more Umbrella Prints from the stash and a denim outer to handle 3 year old wear and tear.

Master 3 loved it!

And so it begins......

Another blog about craft - how original I know! Well this is a second and hopefully better attempt at keeping myself on track and docmenting all that happens in the craft room. There seems to be a never ending wishlist of project, boxes of UFOs and piles of fabric as well as multiple projects on the go - creative chaos in a confined space.

Hopefully being more organised with photographing and blogging my creative output will lead to a bit more organisation in the craft room.
